"I will devise a customized treatment plan."

01.

Individual psychotherapy is an effective treatment for many emotional, mental, and behavioral health issues. Individual weekly therapy is an essential part of DBT. Sessions are customized to the needs and goals of each client and are intended to increase motivation and help clients apply skills to their lives and reach their goals.

02.

DBT skills groups, used in conjunction with individual DBT therapy, provide a safe, structured space for Greenwich DBT clients to learn and practice behavioral skills. DBT skills groups are based on the key elements of DBT, including Mindfulness, Emotion Regulation, Distress Tolerance, and Interpersonal Skills.

03.

Phone coaching is an integral part of the comprehensive DBT program. Telephone support between sessions is used to generalize the skills the client is learning in therapy to everyday life. This vital aspect of DBT therapy helps guide the client through a crisis and navigate difficult situations.

04.

Child and adolescent work is de facto family work. Creating a validating environment is essential for children and adolescents to succeed. Parent guidance and parent training help families address children's and adolescents' internalizing and externalizing behaviors. Increasing positive parent/child interactions can help the child manage challenging behaviors that can improve the quality of family home life.

05.

An individualized treatment plan is made for each client. Frequently other treatment protocols need to be employed to meet the client's needs. Pamela has advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Exposure-response Prevention (ERP), and Compassion-focused Therapy (CFT).
